Christina DuPlessis

Hi! I'm Coach Christina DuPlessis, and I'm excited to begin my 4th year coaching travel softball at the developmental level, my 3rd season with my IMG 2014 squad, as well as my 2nd year coaching Varsity Softball at Guerin Catholic High School.

It's truly an honor to lead and coach such a talented group of 2014 athletes while being part of one of the top programs in the country. My passion for the game runs deep, having played softball since I was 6 years old! A little bit about me: I grew up in Morris, Illinois, in the Chicagoland suburbs. My love for the game began with baseball, where I pitched for an all-boys team until I transitioned to Fastpitch Softball. I played competitive travel softball for the Orland Park Sparks Premier from 12U to 18U, under renowned coaches Tom DiBiase and Joe Tholl. Coach DiBiase taught me invaluable lessons in respect, discipline, and courage, helping me become a top middle infielder/utility player in Illinois at a young age.

I'm proud to have been the first Illinois recruit to play Softball for the University of Louisville Cardinals from 2007-2011, where I played second base and left field. I had the privilege of learning from coaches like Sandy Pearsall, Courtney Scott Deifel, and Carol Bruggeman, who shaped me into a stronger, mentally tougher person both on and off the field. My time at Louisville, where I earned a degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Communications, was an incredible experience.

Outside of coaching, I am an Enterprise Account Executive for Coface, North America, with their Business Information team managing client credit risk decisioning. My family and I live in Westfield, Indiana, where my husband AJ, our 10-year-old daughter Riley, and 7-year-old son Brayden, enjoy outdoor adventures, sports, and time with our German Shepherd, Athena. We love attending country concerts, sharing good times with friends over a glass of wine or a craft beer, and exploring the U.S. National Parks, especially Big Sky Country.
