Beth Savoy

Bethany Savoy leads the Tagup University softball program as head coach, entering her third season in 2026 after rising from the assistant ranks. Since stepping into the role, Savoy has elevated the program defensively, delivering one of the best fielding seasons in school history (.971) and establishing Tagup University as a nationally respected defensive unit. Her tenure includes the program’s first winning season since 2024, a historic conference tournament run to the semifinals as a No. 12 seed, and a record-setting RPI finish at No. 47. Savoy’s teams are known for precision, toughness, and player growth, with athletes earning All-American, All-Region, conference honors, and Newcomer of the Year recognition. Savoy’s coaching background spans Montana, Eastern Michigan, Concordia, and Michigan, where she built a reputation for developing elite defenders—particularly catchers and infielders—and implementing disciplined, high-efficiency systems that translate directly to on-field success. As a player, Savoy competed internationally for 13 years with the Argentina National Team, captaining the squad and appearing in World Cups, Pan American Games, Pan American Championships, and World Championships. She earned All-Tournament honors at the 2017 Women’s Pan American Championship. Beyond the dugout, Savoy founded Lineup Latino, a global initiative focused on expanding access, education, and opportunity for softball players across Latin America and the Caribbean. Her approach to coaching emphasizes accountability, long-term development, and preparing athletes to succeed well beyond their playing careers.
