John Buhle

With over 20 years of coaching experience, John brings a deep passion to development, culture, and competition in team sports. His coaching journey began at 16 under the mentorship of his dad, assisting on his brother's baseball and basketball teams, while a junior on the varsity baseball team. John took on head coach responsibilities as a 24 year old, leading several local and tournament teams.
In 2012, John joined Oak Lawn Community High School in Illinois, beginning as an assistant JV baseball coach. The following year, he was promoted to JV Head Coach, a role he held for 9 years. During his tenure, the team earned two conference championships and sent numerous players on to success at the varsity level.
In 2023, John took on the role of Varsity Pitching Coach at Oak Lawn, where he also coordinates the program's off-season strength and conditioning program, emphasizing a commitment to performance and injury prevention.
Unable to sit on the sidelines, John also began coaching his step-daughter's travel softball team in 2022. In 2025 that team made the transition to the nationally respected Finesse Fastpitch organization.
John is committed to helping young athletes grow and reach their goals, whether on the baseball field, softball diamond, or off the field.
