It was a statement weekend for Bandits Conroy, who powered their way to the PGF Labor Day Showdown 16U championship with a 6–1 overall record.

The Bandits set the tone early in pool play, posting lopsided wins over Lady Duke (25–0), VA Glory (7–0), and TN Mojo (14–3). Their only blemish came in a tight 3–1 battle with Chill, but the team quickly regrouped and found another gear in bracket play.

On Sunday night, Conroy’s bats exploded in a 15–0 rout of New Lenox Lightning ZM, followed by a convincing 15–7 victory over Bandits Glass to secure a spot in the semifinals. In the Monday morning matchup, the Bandits flipped the script from pool play, edging Chill 1–0 behind dominant pitching and flawless defense.

That set the stage for the championship, where Conroy delivered a complete performance against previously undefeated W. Lightning 27/28, earning a 7–2 victory and the tournament crown.

The title run showcased the team’s depth, with contributions up and down the lineup and a pitching staff that answered the call in high-pressure moments. From explosive offensive outbursts to clutch defensive stands, Bandits Conroy proved themselves as one of the premier teams in the region.
